About
The Long Room is an authentic Irish bar, located where Midtown meets Times Square and the Theater District.
Like any good (spirits) library, we stock a large selection of Irish whiskeys, single malts, top-shelf liquors, craft cocktails and fine wines. In addition to domestic and imported draught beers, rotating craft beers, we also offer beers by the bottle/can. Our menu features a variety of creative dishes, from standard American fare to delicious and hearty traditional Irish fare with a New York twist.
Our establishment features a long marble bar, library walls, an intricate ceiling and a working fireplace inspired by the main chamber of the same name in the Old Library in Trinity College in Dublin, established in 1592. Ireland’s oldest university, Trinity College is best known for its library, which is home to the Book of Kells, an intricate manuscript Gospel written by monks in 800 A.D. In addition to housing 200,000 of the university’s oldest books, The Long Room is lined with a collection of marble busts of great philosophers, writers, and men who supported the college, as well as one of the last remaining copies of the 1916 Proclamation of the Irish Republic.
Whether you are gathering with friends after work, meeting for lunch, looking for a quality pre-theater dinner without the maddening crowds, or just thirsty for a pint, our staff is always accommodating.
We’re waiting for you!
